Stunning Primrose Hill Farm Wedding – Rebecca & Tom

Wedding photographer Oxfordshire

Rebecca and Tom are one of those couples who instantly click with me since the first conversation. Plan was simple, invite amazing people, get married and rave on the dancefloor in the evening. Me and my trusted second shooter Michael were ready to run, jump and squat to capture all beautiful photos for the newlyweds. They prepared a superb Primrose Hill Farm wedding last May and I can’t be more than happy to share their story with you.

Primrose Hill Farm offer not only a stunning wedding venue but a stayover for wedding couples. That’s why Rebecca decided to prepare there with all her bridesmaids there. The cottage where it all happened is remarkable, spacious, cosy and most important for me, got a beautiful natural light. I was smiling all the time seeing how happy and excited the bride was. This is what I am really looking for when it comes to wedding photography, natural and emotional moments, and I can guarantee you that Primrose hill farm wedding had plenty of them.

As much as I am a big fan of the bridal party getting ready shots I still give a lot of love to my grooms. That’s why we decided that Michael will stay with the boys on their preparation and he definitely captures the essence of boys being boys. Smiling, joking around and having a round of a cold beer, reminds me of my own wedding.

Wedding at Primrose Hill Farm

The ceremony of this Primrose hill farm wedding took place in St Botolph’s church in Farnborough which has a special meaning for the couple. Located on a hill with a magnificent view of a local village, this was a perfect place to tie the knot. Tom was already there greeting everyone and waiting for one of the most important moments of the day… seeing Rebecca for the first time in her dress. The groom could not hold his tears while his beloved partner walked down the aisle. As soon as she joined him the vibe shifted to a very relaxed one and the ceremony conducts with readings followed by singing. At the end of the service, all the guests form a tunnel for newlyweds and throw dry flower petals and confetti. Rebecca and Tom then decided to slowly ride in the carriage to the venue where I was waiting for them.

As I arrived at this Primrose hill farm wedding, the venue was already decorated and prepared for arriving of everyone. This is always a great time for me to capture an empty reception room with all the fantastic details put together. Very delicate flowers in fancy glass bottles placed on wooden slices work perfectly with the Primrose hill farm venue vibe. One this as a wedding photographer I can really admire is the full windowed wall on the side which not only give a lot of natural light but the panoramic view of the whole county is something to die for. Great news for me which I didn’t know on that day, that this won’t be my last Primrose hill farm wedding this year.

The time was flying, champagne was flowing, people were enjoying themselves and my lovebirds clearly had the time of their life. Primrose hill farm wedding venue got a superb background for all sorts of photos, and one area of it is just made for photographers. The inner yard with big wooden barn doors works perfectly as a backdrop for family photos and wedding portraits. As you could see I could not hesitate to use a super long vail to get some more dynamic shots. Thankfully I had my trusted assistant who was able to throw the vail in the air and run away. This is for all interested in how that shot was made :D.

Between the sound of laughing people, speeches, and toasts I really felt that this is a perfect day. Exciting, relaxed, joyful and bright. And when the sun started to set I knew it is an ideal moment to take my happy couple for their wedding portraits. Primrose hill farm as I already mentioned is just surrounded by multiple beautiful locations for wedding photos but there is one particular spot by a small pond across the venue where the sun is in perfect position. Not much needed apart of two people in love to capture excellent photos. We didn’t need much time to create timeless moments for Rebecca and Tom. The evening arrived and after cutting a super tasty cake (yes I always try a cake) everyone was ready to get on the dancefloor and show some moves!!

At that time the Primrose hill farm wedding stopped being work and become a pure party! With the first dance of the bride and groom which started slow and suddenly changes into explosive moves, everyone gets pumped and joins them in the party. Rebecca and Tom prepare something special for that moment as well. They decided to have a ceilidh to involve as many as possible people to burn the calories of that tasty cake! And whenever ceilidh is happening at weddings I know it will be a hit. Crazy, that’s how I can describe it. I think I will start bringing a spare shirt for the next Primrose hill farm wedding with a ceilidh.

There are no words, to sum up, such a fabulous day. Even trying to describe it would be tough, but I think my photos are representing how stunning these two lovebirds are and how fantastic a wedding they pull off. I can’t be happier to experience such superb events in my life and I hope to see these two soon.
