Berkshire Wedding Photographer – No Filters, No Fairytales – Just Real Emotions

Berkshire Wedding Photographer

There are wedding days that blur together in memory – same timelines, same venues, same expectations.
And then there are days like this.

Tilly and Archie didn’t plan a wedding to impress. They built a day that felt like them – full of meaning, movement, connection and a whole lot of joy.

It started quietly. Not in mood, but in focus. Preparations were full of family warmth, tight bonds, and the kind of energy that says: “We’re doing this together.” There was no tension in the room – just excitement. The kind that buzzes in the background, that’s in the glances between sisters, in the hands fixing hair while trying not to cry, in someone laughing at an inside joke they’ve told since childhood.

The ceremony took place in St Giles Church in Stoke Poges – a place with deep family roots. Generations of Tilly’s family were married there, and you could feel the weight of that tradition. But not in a heavy, formal way. In a way that grounds you. A church full of light, full of meaning, full of presence.

As a Berkshire wedding photographer, I’ve seen many ceremonies – but there was something in how they held hands, how they looked at each other when no one else was watching, that reminded me why I do this job. There was faith, yes. But also simplicity, stillness, and grace.

Then, the calm gave way to something else entirely.

After the ceremony, the tone shifted – not in meaning, but in pace. And it was brilliant. The reception took place in Tilly’s parents’ garden… although “garden” barely does it justice. Their property is vast – big enough for a full tipi setup and over 100 guests.

Tilly and Archie didn’t just arrive. They entered.
In a vintage Porsche restored by Tilly’s dad, engine rumbling, sun catching the chrome – they pulled up like absolute legends.
People went wild. And they deserved to.

What followed was one of the most lively, genuine, joy-filled celebrations I’ve had the chance to capture. Guests dancing before sunset. Laughter that never really stopped. Drinks in hand, feet in motion, hugs that lasted longer than usual.

Tilly was electric. All day. From morning prep to the final dance, she never slowed down. Even when I was already starting to feel it in my legs, she was still going strong – changed into a party dress, cowboy boots on, flying across the dancefloor without a care in the world. And that’s the part that stuck with me.

It wasn’t just that it looked great (it did), or that the venue was stunning (it was). It was that they were fully there. Present. Unapologetically themselves.

As a Berkshire wedding photographer, this is what I look for – not perfection, not symmetry, not something for Pinterest. Just moments that are.

Weddings like this remind me why I love this job.
Because when you strip away the pressure, the trends, the expectations – you’re left with people. And people, in all their laughter, nerves, chaos and calm, are what make this work worth doing.

Tilly and Archie built something meaningful, effortless and full of life. And I’m lucky I got to see it all unfold.
